Winter news…. Hospo Awards… Winter closure

Wow, our first winter in Napier is turning out to be something pretty special,
James and the team are spinning out seasonally inspired winter dishes infusing fresh Hawke’s Bay produce with far-flung ideas to create dishes which will often surprise and always delight.  Meanwhile, Dean and Tama continue to concoct glasses of liquid joy behind the bar.  We’ve even worked out how to use our fancy air-co system to keep you toasty warm.

We’re fast approaching a year into this project and we just want to say, how lucky we are to be in this space, meeting so many sweet folk.  Folk we are getting to know and call our friends.  As we get to know you all, we throw you into the inspiration mix as our menu changes with the seasons, inspired by the abundance and variety of edible offerings from soil & sea.

The winter menu is in full swing from cream of Jerusalem artichoke, to Manuka smoked pheasant breast and caramelised mandarin, confit zest and rice bavarois.

2016 Hawke’s Bay Hospitality Awards
Dean, James and the crew scrubbed up and attended this year’s hospitality awards on Monday night.  The winners are determined by our industry peers and we’re pretty chuffed to have won both Outstanding Front of House Team and Outstanding Restaurant!  Cheers to the sponsors One Music & EIT but mostly to our super cool Hospo colleagues who gave us the nod.

OUR WINTER BREAK (18/7-10/8)
What a wild ride it has beens so far, we hope you have enjoyed the bistro meets gastronomy creations lovingly placed in front of you over the past ten months.   Family, friends and New Zealand fresh air help nurture the creative juices so we are taking a three week holiday.

We will be closed from Monday 18th of July reopening Wednesday the 10th of August.
